Your Baby's Love for Ceiling Fans and The Importance of Changing Lounging Positions
Let me set the scene. As soon as your baby sets sight on the ceiling fan, the love affair begins. 😍 They are locked in and completely mesmerized. Who could blame them, with all that spinning and the way it really pops against the plain white ceiling… you know babies love that high-contrast imagery!
But from where they are lying on the floor, it’s always up to their left. Over time, they may develop a preference for looking up to the left, making it more difficult to look to the right.
To counteract the development of habitual positions…
Try this:
Change your baby's position so that the ceiling fan is on the opposite side.
This encourages them to explore different angles and directions, supporting their visual development and promoting balanced muscle engagement.
The concept of variety extends beyond the ceiling fan. Babies are naturally drawn to various objects and stimuli. Whether it's a colorful toy, a pet, or even a window with a captivating view, ensure you switch your baby's position and location frequently. Embrace new perspectives and create a rich environment that stimulates their curiosity and encourages movement of their head and body, and prevents muscle tightness.
